But while I was away for a month, one of the guys in this group house screwed with my PC, dropped it, and killed the data and backup drives. Yes, yes, I know: when I first saw that in a Chinese guy's YouTube vid, I said, "Aww, bulls hit\." too. It uses an entirely separate execution path to access the drive. ► Even if the BIOS doesn't see it, you can very likely read it with a USB external HDD connector (like, 20 bux). That's a major decision point for solution advice. ► Go into BIOS setup and see if it can see the drive. ► Replace the SATA data cable (or swap with another drive). Not a good link to give! The very first words of advice in that link are "You need to format the drive".
